We conducted a preliminary investigation of this private residence. We included a couple of friends, Susan and Rick, members of Arkansas Paranormal Research Association on the investigation. Note: The findings are still being reviewed so check back for more updates:

BACKGROUND:

Through contact from a prior investigation, we were told that the residents of this home (which is located near a well investigated and active area) had been experiencing paranormal activity for several years. Two months prior to the investigation, during some cleaning, a broom was leaned against a hallway wall. When the individual returned with a dustpan, the broom was standing straight up in the middle of the floor. The individual then took a photo of the broom with her phone before it subsequently fell to the floor. Other activity experienced included heavy glasses in the kitchen being pushed to the floor (dog reacted before it happened), a pull string light that comes on by itself, and the manual switch on the heat turning on by itself(multiple times) last year. We arrived at the residence 8:30pm and with Rick and Susan began collecting baseline photos and background information.

Research is continuing on the residence but it appears it was probably built in the 1920s or 30s and the area has houses/buildings going back to the 1920s and forward.

ACTIVITIES:

We examined the broom itself and attempted to duplicate the shot. To see related photos taken of the broom (has since been broken) It can be stood up with the small half but it is unlikely it could be done with the entire broom click here

Since there had been incidents of objects being moved I decided to do a test with a control object (kinetic ball set) and videotape it. To see a photo of the setup click here
