We were invited to participate in a joint investigation with Arkansas Paranormal Research Association which we readily accepted. We would like to thank them for the opportunity of investigating with them.

During this investigation weekend, we would not only investigate the main building but in a seperate investigation also a nearby occupied private residence still in that area referred to by locals as "The Hill" that for several years have had continuous activity. During the course of the investigations we would also conduct a couple of experiments to hopefully add some clarity and authenticate reported phenomena.


We met our hostess of the Private Residence at 8:30pm Friday along with Susan and Rick from APRA. After meeting our host and taking a short break we started the Investigation at 9pm. See the link on the page for those findings.


For the Sanatorium investigation we arrived at the Nyberg building Saturday at 7pm and met the members of ARPA,some interested guests and other groups. Skillfully, the teams were assembled by APRA and given times for each floor so as to avoid confusion and contaminating the collection of data. We concentrated our efforts on the Basement, Third Floor Containment area and the Fifth Floor.


EXPERIMENTS

During this weekend I had two planned. Experiment One: For the private residence where physical interaction had been witnessed I planned to use a set of kinetic balls as the control object in the area where the activity occurred. Any interaction with them should picked up by the cam whether video or audio.
Experiment Two: In the two areas of the Sanatorium where I had made the most evp captures I planned to use another device I put together. I had hooked up an electronic thermostat with an external power source and led lights. With the thermostat giving the current room temperature I would be able to set a target temperature 5 degrees below it. When the target temperature is reached, the led will light up. The plan would be to request they draw enough energy to drop the area temperature or drop it through interfacing with the thermostat.

Experiment One results were disappointing in that there was no interaction with the kinetic balls used as a control object. I will try them again elsewhere as there were personal experiences with physical interaction that night. I question as to whether it was due to them being unrecognized coming from a different time period.

OBSERVATIONS/PERSONAL EXPERIENCES:


There were a lot of personal experiences that night involving many different members. Highlights included doors on the Fifth floor opening or shaking multiple times (we caught one in a series of photos),sounds (one incident was like a tinny sounding music box) and cold spots in the same area by several teams. In the Basement a shadow was spotted, voices (see evps link) heard and an childs voice we tried to track (see also evps). The Third floor Containment Area is still being reviewed.
