The house is a privately owned home in Lamar, Arkansas. The house is an old home built before the Civil War and has its own cemetery behind the house. It is thought that the house may have been used as a hospital during the war and some of the soldiers that received treatment are buried in the cemetery. The owners of the house reported a number of paranormal activities. Things like a mist forming in the kitchen, lights burning out prematurely, voices in the children’s bedrooms and a general feeling of uneasiness. Some apportments (dimes in shoes) were also occurring. There was also an incident of a coat rack getting knocked over in the middle of the night with no one around. The house itself was built around 1830 and has had several additions added plus the closing of the original staircase. It was rebuilt in another area. The stone chimney has date chiseled into it but I was unable to get a photo. On the property is a family graveyard and some Civil War graves. The remains of what was probably the original kitchen which was erected seperately from the house is partially evident. Interesting historical note, the town changed its name shortly after a 107lb meteorite hit it in 1886. The majority of the activity has centered in one upstairs hallway and a bedroom at the end of it. On this last trip I was doing a baseline temperature reading and found that all around the baby bed it was consistantly 75 degrees. However, inside the bed it was 72 degrees. After the readings I took two photos within a few seconds of each other and the second seems to show a dense orb on one of the rails UPDATE Oct 28, 5:00 pm
