We decided to try a tie-in investigation at Mt Holly Cemetery. During our investigation at the Little Rock Arsenal aka MacArthur Museum last year we asked a lot of questions regarding David O. Dodd, the Boy Martyr of the Confederacy who was held and interrogated there before his hanging a short distance from the Arsenal. During our research we found that David O Dodd had been buried in Mt. Holly and while researching the purported conspiracy we also came across references to individuals possibly involved.
![]() Inscription on David Dodd's Marker BACKGROUND EVPs captured from the Arsenal made references to several things that we wanted to ask followup questions about such as:
Mary Dodge's Parents HeadstoneFrom our genealogical research we managed to find the families of the three girls that were friends of David's during his time in Little Rock. We attempted to trace them forward from the year of the hanging. The Dodge family in particular was interesting in that purportedly Mary Dodge and her father were taken days before the hanging back to Vermont via a Union Gunboat per General Steele till the end of the war. This led many to believe that David could have been protecting her. The person David was supposed to contact with the encoded information was never found or identified. We found that not only did Mary return but ended up marrying a neighbor,William George Whipple, a US District Attorney and later Mayor of the City of Little Rock. During our walkthrough we were suprised to find the family plot for the Dodges just a few rows from David Dodd's plot. We took pictures of Mary Dodge's parents, Susannah Dodge's and R.L. Dodge's headstones. . ACTIVITIES REPORTED Apparitions sighted, trinkets that appear on the graves, statues and pieces of graves mysterious moved to neighboring homes. OBSERVATIONS/PERSONAL EXPERIENCES: NOTES AND VALIDATIONS: Several EVPs backed up EVPs captured on earlier investigation at the Little Rock Arsenal aka MacArthur Museum.
