As members of Arkansas Paranormal Research Association we conducted an investigation of this private residence. We arrived at 7pm and after a walkthrough we sat down with our host who related some of the activity that had been occuring. Note: The findings are still being reviewed so check back for more updates:



BACKGROUND:

The house itself we were told had been built in the 1930s and was now next door to a Metaphysical Church. A man and woman along with one child, two years old and a daughter aged twenty-five with her child. The daughter's child is eight years old. There were various types of activity purported like voices heard, things moved/misplaced and apparitions seen. Two areas the daughter's bedroom and the bathroom were areas of purportedly high activity. The daughter’s bedroom was an area that people had difficulty sleeping in due to an oppressive atmosphere. The daughter refuses to sleep in that room and while both the father and boyfriend tried to sleep there, they experienced the same problems. There was an incident in which a toy truck (about a foot long and 6 inches high) rolled from the kitchen into the living room. The daughter while in the bathroom had the feeling of being watched and upon hearing voices (including some sobbing) screamed for the father. The young child also has an “invisible playmate”.

During the investigation we would use a toy truck as a control object and video it throughout the night. Cams were set up in the hallway, daughter’s room, living room and the bathroom. We conducted EVP collection sessions throughout the night using conventional methods, white noise and the ghost box in the hope of determining which provided the best results. There are also areas in which they can't get their cell phones to work properly. They had a mysterious message that appeared as their voice mail message. Upon reviewing it in cool edit it was found to contain an EVP.



OBSERVATIONS/PERSONAL EXPERIENCES:

During the walkthrough photos were taken and a baseline of 69 to 71dg determined. Throughout the investigation several members experienced periods of extreme cold and goosebumps. The doorbell ran about 12:30am (all present and accounted for) and no one was there. Two cameras immediately had their batteries drain in the front hallway/master bedroom area. I had an unusally high percentage of blurred pictures but upon going back to the same areas later the pictures were clear. On one occasion during an EVP collection session in the Master Bedroom several heard an unknown voice. Based on the evps there appear to be multiple voices recorded.

FINDINGS:

Data is still being reviewed but to date there are a large number of evps from different sounding individuals. Two of these sound like children. Based on the names supplied in the evps we are currently researching public records for validation. One photo anamoly is under unexplained. It was one that was blurred but subsequent photos taken immediately after three feet further back were perfectly clear. This room was also the location of one of the major incidents. Ironically, some of the EVPs seem to indicate certain activities were mistaken. Others seemed to validate some of major ones.
