We arrived at the house at 6 pm with four team members. We did a walk through with the owner, took some base photos, checked environmentals and discussed the latest activity. Since EVPs from the 2008 Investigation were conflicting with the rumored dark history we had made a list of questions based upon EVP answers gathered from the October 2008 Investigation. During this investigation we used conventional EVP collection methods, the Spiritcom (see Experiments page) and a couple of other experimental methods. Video capture was set up in two bedrooms, living room and a game room Surrounding this house were countless community rumors such as reports of animal torture, parental abuse, a possible murder and drug trafficking .
The house was built in the late 1890s and the hauntings are purportedly connected to a son of the original owners (he was supposed to have died in WWI) and a family that owned the home from the 1950s thru 1980s. ACTIVITIES Reports of apparitions, voices and some physical contact. Several incidents involving small coins and the movement of larger objects.
Several members experienced extreme battery drainage with recorders and cameras. A window blind was apparently opened on its own. One member felt a very cold touch on the back of their neck. Several times team members experienced cold sensations even though the average temps were around the 80dg. mark.
EVPs captured indicate the son (one rumored to mistreat animals) actually loved animals and had a habit of bringing home all the strays he ran across. He basically was running an inside kennel, EVP information indicated the fighting of the animals coupled with those that died accidentally or due to disease contributed to the abuse rumor. There are conflicting EVPs(different voices and comments) regarding the death of his father. One tries to indicate that the father was in an angry and intoxicated state, kicked open the door and fell resulting in his death. Another EVP indicates he was pushed and it was not an accident. Findings Validating Activity Note: See the EVP page. During one period two members experience cold sensations and an EVP is captured saying "I lowered the temp". One spirit who has a history of kissing female investigators on the back of the neck is asked about it providing an EVP that says "if they're pretty I kissem all". Right after that another in which he is told a person whom he "was interested in" last time is present and she says hello. In the EVP he says tells her he feels good before she asks the question, then address another member by name.
It appears that one of the driving forces behind this haunting is the stigma attached to the family from events that could have been based on gossip. When discussing the animal cruelty/torture we had EVPs indicating he had an indoor kennel and was compelled to gather up and care for strays. When asked about this we got an EVP response that sounded like © xxxWe kept on this line of questions and also heard the neighbors didnt like the noise and called the police. EVPs inferred neighbors were the source of the rumors. © loves animals We also had a visit from a close friend of Tonys whose husband had passed away in a motorcycle accident on the way from Tony's house. Though unprepared we were asked to ask some questions and came up with some validation questions on the fly. There was a picture of him with glasses on so we asked how old he was when he got them. The EVP answer was 17 in high school...answer confirmed. There was an EVP that mentioned monkey blood. Per the wife this was a comic family term applied to the young son who liked to climb up on family. There was an EVP regarding a cute animal costume for the young son. The wife confirmed that several week prior they had indeed bought that halloween costume for the son. Once again, many Thanks to Tony for giving us the full run of his home!!!!!! |
