We arrived at the house at 6 pm with a total of eight APRA team members. We did a walk through with the owner, took some base photos, checked environmentals and discussed the latest activity. Due to the dark history of this house according to the community our main goal was to substantiate the previously reported activities through EVP sessions and full video coverage of the house. As the only team member that had investigated there previously, I spent several weeks prior to the investigation reviewing the EVPs captured in 2004 and my documentation. This provided me with follow-up questions to the previously captured EVPs as well as some to validate my experiences back in 2004. During this investigation we used various EVP collection methods including the use of a Ghost Box (see Experiments page), White Noise, Portugese Babble (Portugese Crowd noises ref. AAEVP.org and Brazilian ITC researcher, Sonia Rinaldi) and standard method.

Surrounding this house are countless community rumors such as reports of animal torture, parental abuse, a possible murder and drug trafficking . Neighbors and some other community members have confirmed some of this activity in previous interviews with the media as well as us. We are still attempting to acquire hard documents to substantiate some of these. Besides the spirits involved with the above activity there have been reports of another who was the son of the original owner. He has been described as a handsome man appearing in uniform, complete with helmet and sporting a pencil moustache. He purportedly died in Belgium during WWI. He is also purportedly a ladies man and likes to play tricks from time to time. According to the owner, his wife had been at the base of the steps and had a handful of coins tossed down to her. He has been said to brush/touch the ladies and occasionally make appearances. Two other appartions have been mentioned one a young female child and a man in a suit wearing a bow tie.

To help seperate some of the fact from the fiction I was able to validate some information from the local and county law enforcement regarding the family that lived there from the 1950s through the 1980s. Information corroborated:
Animal Abuse (Kennel inside home)
Parental Abuse
Mother placed in Adult Protective Care (removed from home)
Death with conflicting Crime Lab findings, no autopsy

The team had split into two groups, one taking the downstairs and the other the upper floor bedrooms. While in the western most bedroom during an EVP session all three of us heard footsteps on the ceiling (note: there is no attic) shortly after that footsteps were heard to the side of us. They were coming from the large closet in the room which connected to the crawlspace. All three of us were in agreement on the location of the sounds.
