EVP or Electronic Voice Phenomenon is audio
captured of sounds or voices on a digital or analog recorder when there is usually
no voice or particular sound heard by those present and no physical presence in
the area that it could be attributed to.

A EVP is a message
that can be heard without headphones and that people can generally agree on the
sound or what is said.
Class
B EVP requires
headphones to be heard and not everyone will agree on what is said or heard.
Class
C EVP requires
headphones, sometimes needs amplification, filtering to remove things like hiss
or other background noises and usually people relate different messages or
sounds.
