EVP or Electronic Voice Phenomenon is audio captured of sounds or voices on a digital or analog recorder when there is usually no voice or particular sound heard by those present and no physical presence in the area that it could be attributed to.

There are several classes of EVP

Class A EVP is a message that can be heard without headphones and that people can generally agree on the sound or what is said.

Class B EVP requires headphones to be heard and not everyone will agree on what is said or heard.

Class C EVP requires headphones, sometimes needs amplification, filtering to remove things like hiss or other background noises and usually people relate different messages or sounds.
